----------------- Two top 10s for Brown in Hamilton----------------

Tyler Brown shows consistency in Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship

HAMILTON, ONTARIO - Tyler Brown got his first taste of just how competitive the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship Presented by Toronto Star Wheels is. Brown had previously competed in the OKRA (Ontario Kart Racing Association) classes, which competed on the same weekend at the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship last year.

"It seems that teams and drivers really step up their programs in this championship. Our races were on the same weekend last year, but having now run in this series, what a difference," Brown said.

Brown competed in the hugely popular RotaxMax Junior class on Saturday, where he qualified sixth out of the 32 entries, just seven tenths of a second off the pole. Unfortunately on the first lap of the final, Brown dropped to the back of the field. “We had a spark plug that was starting to go bad and it would not allow we to accelerate and I had to ease my way up to speed. By the end of the race Brown had picked his way back to a 15th place finish. Not bad considering, and we learned a lot this weekend about how to set our 4B Racing PTK so we will be better late in the race at the next round."

On Sunday, Brown competed in the Canada Junior Heavy, which is one of the most competitive classes in the series. After qualifying just six tenths off the pole in 13th for Round 1, and 10th in Round 2, Brown finished 10th and 8th respectively. "It is really hard to move up in this class - we are all very even. It is a question of tenths of a second per lap, this is what we are trying to find now. Still, I am happy for the results we achieved this weekend, and I'm sure we'll be stronger at Barrie in a few weeks time."
