WATERDOWN, ONTARIO – Tyler Brown is anxious to get back on the track and this season will see the young driver compete at tracks in Ontario and the Northern U.S. as he continues to hone his driving skills. “We had a very successful year in 2006 with the rookie title and a top 10 in points, but this is a brand new year and I have set my goals higher”, said Brown. “I hope to move up again next year and to do that I have to continually improve.” Tyler will only have one weekend off the entire season. With the demanding schedule the team has stepped up as well with the addition of a 2nd McColl race car, a new tow vehicle and additional support in the shop.

In the off season Tyler has attracted new sponsorship from Donato & Associates, a wealth management firm in Dundas. “When I originally spoke to Tyler’s father I was intrigued at how Tyler has excelled at such a young age and once I met Tyler personally and saw the values and commitment he has, I felt it was a good fit for my firm”, said owner Paul Donato. The support from Donato & Associates means 4 appearances this year at Flamborough Speedway’s major events. Waterdown Automotive and CARSTAR Quality Collision Services will also appear on the car this year as associate sponsors for the season.

With the next step up on the motorsport ladder getting closer, work with a marketing firm was initiated to help secure sponsorship for Tyler to compete in the United States. “The next step up is very costly and to be able to race in the U.S. full time we need to secure sponsorship”, Tyler’s father said. “We have had some interest but we still have a long way to go. I feel we have a good shot with Tyler’s young age, values, and past experience he will be a welcome addition to the proper sponsor.”

Tyler Brown is a 15 year old racer from Waterdown, Ontario. During 2006 Tyler became the youngest late model driver in the history of Delaware Speedway en route to capturing the 2006 “Rookie of the Year” title and finishing 10th in seasons points. In 2005 Tyler won his 1st race in his 2nd official start in the Ontario Pro Challenge series. In seven years of karting he started more than 225 races and won one “Championship”, “Most Improved Driver Award”, and a “Team of the Year” award. At the local level he has never finished lower than 5th in series points and at the regional or national level he has never finished lower than 10th.
